Fort Collins In-Home Pet Euthanasia
Fort Collins isn’t just a city—it’s a community that loves pets as much as you do. From hikes at Horsetooth to strolls through City Park, our dog-friendly breweries, and endless trails, every corner celebrates life with our furry family members. But when the time comes to say goodbye, we know how deeply it hurts.
At Caring Pathways, our Fort Collins team is here to help right where your pet feels safest: at home. Whether your dog spent years splashing in the Poudre River or your cat napped in sunbeams by your window, you don’t have to face this journey alone.
Our compassionate veterinarians specialize in in-home quality-of-life assessments and gentle euthanasia, guiding you with empathy every step of the way. Serving Fort Collins and all of Northern Colorado, we ensure your pet’s final moments are filled with dignity, love, and the peace of your home.

The Story of Caring Pathways
Dr. Larry Magnuson earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1967. In 1986, Dr. Magnuson founded Raintree Animal Hospital in Fort Collins and owned the practice for 22 years. After spending more than 47 years as a veterinarian, he realized he wanted to provide pets with an in-home, end-of-life care that was compassionate and peaceful for the pet and it’s family. In 2010, he began his journey with Caring Pathways servicing the Denver Metro Area. In June of 2020, Caring Pathways of Northern Colorado opened to service Fort Collins and it’s surrounding areas. Client Testimonials
“We are so grateful for Dr. Eddie Desko and the entire Caring Pathways team. From my initial call and virtual appointment/health assessment with Dr. Emilea, to the final goodbye with Dr. Desko, we would have been lost without their guidance and compassion. We could not have asked for a more peaceful experience as our Charlie crossed the rainbow bridge, and I am so grateful to the doctors for the confidence they instilled in the decisions we had to make.”
