Our Seren kitty came into our lives on November 1, 2020, as an adult cat rescued from a feral trap in New Mexico. He quickly charmed everyone he met with his calm (but stubborn) attitude. Despite multiple medical issues, including FIV, a heart condition, stomatitis, and ultimately multiple cancers, he managed to live a full and active life, dictating to us his needs (open doors and windows, food, treats, hugs, etc.).
He lived a charmed life in his short time with us and gave us such joy. A big thanks to our vet and his oncologist, as we could not have done any of this without their support and caring. They ensured his last days were comfortable and that, in the end, he left us surrounded by his family (including pet siblings Alby, Caoimhe, and Chevy), the freedom of his backyard, and the sun on his face.
Seren passed peacefully on June 10, 2025. Thanks to Caring Pathways, who, on short notice, made that happen with dignity and respect. He will be deeply missed.
