We got our Sammy when he was only 6 weeks old. He was a huge part of our lives for 16 1/2 years. From the first day we brought him home, he filled our hearts with joy and love. He battled diabetes for 6 months about 5 years ago. He was such a little fighter, he beat it. He was our best friend, completely and totally loved and could always be counted on for some serious snuggles. He recently started losing weight and did not want to eat. We found out he was in kidney failure. We called Caring Pathways. Dr. Kary Walters came to our home. Dr. Walters was the most patient, caring and empathetic person. We were blessed to have had her here with us in this very sad time. Sammy is very missed and will continue to be in our hearts forever. He is our little angel now.
