An unplanned trip to the Denver Dumb Friends League turned out to be one of the best things that has ever happened to our family. Oliver – a dachshund, bichon, shih tzu mix, whom we dubbed a purebred bishitzhund – showered us with love for over 14 years. A “be with” dog, a pacifist (how dare you swat at a fly!), and quite the cuddler, Ollie was in fact not a perfect dog, but he was the perfect dog for our family, and he will forever be deeply missed. We know he’s frolicking in a beautiful place now, when he’s not hogging his NeeNee’s lap.
