Maggie lived a long life – about 15.5 years. I was so fortunate to have a co-pilot such as her. She meant the world to me and was there for me during some of the toughest times of my life. The decision to put her to rest was very difficult, but the time had come as her quality of life had slowly begun to diminish after her 15th birthday. She may have had a heart condition that caused edema, and medicine helped her to remain comfortable through the last few weeks. When the day came, I didn’t know what to expect. Eddie, the veterinarian, who helped us through the process, was nothing but EXCEPTIONAL. I couldn’t have chosen a better and more thoughtful ending to Maggie’s life then the service he provided. He took time to explain the process, and nothing felt rushed. I could tell that Maggie felt comfortable the entire time. He took to her as if she was his own. I’m happy that she isn’t suffering anymore and am very thankful to Eddie for his superior care and service.
