It has been three weeks since we released Summer to go over the rainbow bridge. Every day we think about her and miss her but know she is in a better place. We had her from 8 weeks to 9 years 2 months. When Caring Pathways was suggested by a friend we knew it would be the right choice, as Summer never did like to go to the vet’s office. From the beginning, making that call and having Cynthia on the other end of the line know how hard it was for us to make that call to when Dr. Steve came to the house the next afternoon our experience was better than I had anticipated. Cynthia was so caring as was Dr. Steve. He listened to our stories and watched our videos of Summer not rushing us at all. When it was time he explained thoroughly what was going to happen and encouraged us to love on Summer all the while she was relaxing. The transition was painless for her, she was in her favorite place in the house. While making that decision was one of the hardest we had to do, the transition was a pleasant memory for all of us, even Farah, her “sister” was able to say good-bye. I highly recommend considering Caring Pathways when the time comes…….
