Pancake is a fundamental part of the home we built. He was there when me and my wife found each other and quietly, patiently, and purposefully, Pancake led us to grow a family around him. He loved to play hunt soap bubbles with our girls, and he gave us tremendous affection and comfort. Our days began and finished with him in our arms. That’s very difficult to do now when we do not have him there to start and end our daily journeys. But, we promise you that we will carry on the home that you built, and we will be valiant and brave and ready to give each other affection the same way you always did. You were a fearless companion, friend, and a pure being of purpose. I hope that I can follow your example as you watch over us from a sunny window perch. We love you always,
