Dear Levi,
Your magnanimous spirit is now free to run as fast as you did in your prime. You can roam and patrol endlessly, sniffing trails, and forever be that “puppy in the tall grass” who we relentlessly love still. Your fight for survival was only matched by your loyalty, concern, and unconditional love for us. You were a true fighter with a heart of gold. You brought laughter, joy, warmth, companionship, security, silliness, enthusiasm, persistence, and overwhelming love to our lives. A truly good girl! It was a blessing and an honor to spend the last decade by your side. I choose to believe we will meet again someday, and I’ll pray every day that it’s your face that greets me on the other side.
