Kamilli means”the perfect one” in Swahilli. Being a Rhodesian
Ridgeback, it seemed fitting.
Unfortunately her life before we were able to adopt her was far from perfect. She had been living on her own with 2 other Ridgebacks in the winter. She was 18 mo old when she was rescued. She weighed 47lb. A Ridgeback that age should have been about 65lb. She was suffering from PTSD. We were thrilled to welcome her into our “pack” It took quite a long time for her to feel safe and content, but she learned to love her home and companions. We brought two puppies into her life and each time she embraced them with no hesitation. A born Mama. She was a sweet precious girl.
Losing her at 12 1/5 has been very difficult. We want to thank Caring Pathways, particularly Megan for being so compassionate while helping her cross the Rainbow Bridge.
