Dr.Tara has always felt a strong connection with animals. She grew up in Northern Illinois with a menagerie of pets and began volunteering at a local animal hospital at a young age. Her love of animals and the human-animal bond drove her to pursue a career helping people give their companions the best life possible. Dr.Tara attended DePaul University in Chicago where she majored in Biology and went on to receive her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois.
Dr.Tara was introduced to in-home end of life care as a general practitioner in the Chicago suburbs. It was through these experiences of supporting owners and helping their beloved companions transition that she discovered her passion for serving in this niche of veterinary medicine. Soon after, Dr.Tara relocated to
Colorado to join the Caring Pathways team.
When she’s not assisting families with Caring Pathways, Dr.Tara enjoys practicing yoga, exploring outside, reading, and spending time with her family. She resides with her awesome husband, their spunky mixed breed rescue dogs, Loki & Gus, and the rulers of their roost, their cool cats Saxby & Mabel.
