Suzie Gough, DVM

Dr. Suzie is an East Coast transplant but has lived in many different places including Arizona, Alaska, and even Israel, and is happy to now call Colorado home.  She earned her veterinary degree from Colorado State University in 2010 and has been practicing small animal medicine since then.  She is also trained and certified in Veterinary Acupuncture from the Chi Institute in Florida.

Dr. Suzie has great respect for the human-animal bond and considers it an honor and a privilege to facilitate a peaceful transition when saying goodbye to a beloved pet.  She brings compassion and humility to these moments to hold a safe place for pets and owners alike during this difficult time. When she is not caring for other people’s pets, Dr. Suzie enjoys hiking, knitting, yoga, and spending time with her husband.

Dr. Suzie unfortunately said goodbye to her beloved Standard Poodle Bert on February 15th, 2021. Dr. Suzie wrote a tribute to share their incredible memories together.

Bert’s life was lived to the fullest. He got to see and travel more than most people do. His memories are everywhere. It is taking time, but the sting of the punch in the gut feeling I get whenever I come across something that makes me think of him is slowly feeling more like a warming of my heart. I never knew before that those two feeling were so damn close. There will never be another dog like Bert.
