Mabel is doing well! She has seemed to gain some of her weight back and is eating and drinking all right. She still has moments where she seems confused; crying out until one of us comes to her. We are going to be gone on vacation for a week and I always get nervous about leaving her. What if she starts to feel bad? What if she has new symptoms that the sitter doesn’t recognize? What if she isn’t eating or getting her medicine? Luckily we have someone we trust to watch her… but I still worry.
It is times like this I question if she really does have kidney issues. I know in my head she does but right now, she is doing so well. She doesn’t seem to have anything wrong. She sleeps a lot… but she is going to be 17 in a few months.
I guess I will just enjoy having her healthy and having her here. With kidney issues, I never know when things will get bad.
