After a long lifetime of nearly 17 years, we were heartbroken to have to say goodbye to our amazing little poodle, Ricky. After making many accommodations in the house as he aged to allow him to continue to navigate his surroundings in spite of his advanced age, we had one final act of compassion that we owed him: a peaceful, pain-free departure. So we turned to Caring Pathways.
Dr. Chas guided us through Ricky’s final moments, explaining everything we needed to know as we needed to know it with just the right amount of competence combined with sympathy. He came to us equipped with all the tools needed to help ease Ricky on his way as he took his final nap in his favorite bed. Although we will always miss him, we can take comfort in the fact that we gave him one last gift of a painless ending to a long, well-lived life.
