I can’t speak highly enough about Caring Pathways. When my soul cat was diagnosed with a highly aggressive cancer, my vet referred me to Caring Pathways because I knew I wanted him euthanized at home when the time came. I took full advantage of all of their services, including getting a quality-of-life consultation, enrolling him in comfort care (hospice) for pain management, and, finally, the at-home euthanasia.
With their support, my family and I were able to get almost a month of extra time with sweet Roy, during which we spoiled him rotten and came to terms with his diagnosis. I cannot overstate how compassionate the team at Caring Pathways is, especially Briana, who volunteered to come over and support me when my baby was put to rest, and Dr. Stanley, who was so gentle and reassuring.
The euthanasia appointment itself was calm, peaceful, and unhurried. We spent time talking, even laughing a little as I shared fond memories, and I had the space to cry and say goodbye at my own pace in his favorite room in the house. There are no words to express how grateful I am that this service was available to make this incredibly difficult time a little easier.
I love you, Roy, and miss you with all of my heart. 💔
