Vader was so much more than a dog. He was a cow who liked to graze on the grass. He was an apathetic cat who gave humans the side-eye. He was a choir singer who belted his “woe is me” song whenever he was alone. He was a Sith Lord who had the Force shining out of his butt. He was a foot warmer and an unsuccessful squirrel hunter.
He was too short for a German Shepherd and too tall for a Cocker Spaniel, and he trotted with his different-sized feet to the beat of his own drum. He was a fisherman who only wanted to catch rocks. He was a lap dog too big for most laps.
He was an awakening for a human who had been scared of dogs. He was a best friend for 15 years.
Vader was our sweet boy who will be terribly missed.
We’re so grateful to Caring Pathways for helping another of our companions pass peacefully in our home, surrounded by love.
