This is my sweet girl, Penney. She came to live with us when she was about 1 1/2 years old. There was an advertisement in our local paper, her owner didn’t want her any more. Their loss was our gain! She fit in with our family immediately. We had an older dog at the time that I was concerned about, but they became best friends. She was so sweet, playful and smart. She helped us get through the loss of our older dog when that time came. I couldn’t have hoped for a better dog and companion. The last year of her life was hard. She had multiple health issues. I knew the time was approaching, and I was dreading the day. She had been in pain for about 24 hours when I called Caring Pathways. My strong girl was no longer strong. Dr. Walters helped my Pen slip away quietly while sitting with me on the coach. I will always love and miss her.
