May 25 2023, was one of the most painful decisions I had to make. Mieko my big, beautiful Akita was an incredible friend and companion for 11 years. From the most adorable fluffy puppy to a 130lb. beautiful dog. She was proud and loyal. Incredibly obedient and smart. She loved going on walks and always held her head high, so dignified. Sadly, over the years so many things changed. Age took over. Everywhere I look I see you, I know are at peace and without pain. I will miss you forever and love you beyond words. Our veterinarian Dr. Emily was amazing, professional, knowledgable, and supportive in our difficult decision making.
