Dr. Ted grew in SE Minnesota and from an early age was drawn to connect with animals and the natural world. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Tufts University in Boston, MA, where he spent his Thursday afternoons caring for the animals at Boston’s Natural Science Museum. He earned his DVM degree and a Master’s in Public Health from Colorado State University, where he spent time helping care for cats in rural Alaska, monitoring big horn sheep populations in California, and assisting with shark exams at the New York Aquarium. Dr. Ted enjoys being a veterinarian the most because of the connections he gets to make with people and their pets, which is why he loves working for Caring Pathways.
In his free time, Dr. Ted enjoys tinkering around in his garden, baking sourdough breads, reading up on the world’s current events, hiking and skiing in the mountains with his girlfriend, and spending time with their 15lb mutt, Winnie, and their two cats, Polo and Leon.
