Dr. Paola grew up loving animals and always knowing she wanted to be a veterinarian. She was born and raised in Southern California and received her Bachelor’s in Animal Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Dr. Paola graduated from Colorado State University, where she earned her veterinary degree.
Dr. Paola has worked with a variety of animals including dogs, cats, and exotics. She worked in general practice before discovering that she has a passion for end-of-life care where she can help our animal companions and their humans through a gentle transition between life and death, and to help give the gift and memory of a good death. Dr. Paola also has special interests in acupuncture and laser therapy to provide optimal comfort for our animal friends. She is Fear-Free Certified because she also believes in always providing emotional and mental comfort for our animal friends.
Dr. Paola lives in Thornton where she enjoys playing board games with family and friends, going on walks with her senior dog Oliver, watching movies, and of course hanging out with her sugar glider Stitch!
