Dr. Kira grew up moving around Utah, California, Kansas, and finally, Colorado, which she considers home. She has always loved and been surrounded by animals and has brought home her fair share for her family to love.
She pursued her undergraduate and master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University. She moved to Minnesota where she earned her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. While living in, and loving Minnesota, she worked as a general practitioner in Saint Paul for a year prior to returning back home. She practiced an additional year of general practice in Longmont. During her two years of practice, she gained a passion for end-of-life and hospice care and doing everything she could to make it the most beautiful and peaceful process possible.
Dr. Kira lives in Mead with her wonderful husband, two busy and amazing young dogs named Bart and Roo, and they are all ruled by their perfect senior cat named Meowstauche. Dr. Kira enjoys anything outdoors including hiking and golfing, and spends additional free time reading and playing games with family and friends.
