A week ago we found out that our sweet baby girl had cancer. I reached out to Caring Pathways to see what our options were, and we went ahead and scheduled an appoint for in-home euthanasia for about a week and a half away, hoping we would have that time with her. As the week progressed, her tumors grew and her mobility declined at quite a rapid pace. Late on a Sunday afternoon, our family decided that we needed to move her appointment up to the next day (Monday), if possible, as we didn’t want her to be in pain and suffer any longer. I called Caring Pathways to see if that was an option, and they got us on the schedule for Monday. Dr. Megan came to our house that afternoon. She spent time explaining the process to make sure we all understood what would happen. She was so gentle with Kaiya, and so compassionate with us. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to help our sweet baby girl over the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you so much for everything you did for us! Fly high Kaiya….we love you baby girl!
