In March 2020 when the pandemic started, my sweet 10 year old Blue Heeler, Scout, was diagnosed with cancer and began to decline very quickly. Dr. Angel came to my home and helped him pass and it was the sweetest relief for both of us. My 15 year old dog, Argo, grieved that loss deeply, and as he also began to decline I asked for Caring Pathways’ help again only 10 months later. Dr. Mindy came out to do an assessment and helped me make the difficult decision, and Dr. Suzie came out a few days later to help relieve his suffering. It was a lot to lose two dogs in one year, especially a year like this one. I so appreciated the compassionate care that Caring Pathways provides, and their ability to work around Covid restrictions safely while still providing emotional support. In between those two losses I also got a new puppy, and I hope not to have to make another decision like that for a long, long time, but when the time comes I am so glad to know that Caring Pathways will be there.
