I cannot thank Caring Pathways enough for their services and the trusted vets they employ. They made the most difficult day of our lives a beautiful experience. Huge thanks to Dr. Jennifer Lei. Our sweet dog, Ty, was diagnosed with bone and lung cancer, and it was progressing swiftly. We had to make a choice about his end of life, and a friend recommended Caring Pathways.
When Dr. Lei arrived, I was about to have a heart attack, stricken with grief, but she was calm, quiet, and gentle. She immediately became Ty’s new best friend and was so gentle with him. She fed him treats and calmly explained everything to us in a confident and collected manner. I was worried about the process before she arrived but was quickly relieved once she spoke with us.
We gave Ty a ton of peanut butter, and he was so joyous that he didn’t even notice the first sedative. Dr. Lei was the perfect death doula for our boy’s passing. She was so gentle and kind and aware of every ounce of grief we were experiencing. She almost felt like family who was meant to be there. I hope I never have to use this service again, but I am comforted knowing they exist and that there are angels like Dr. Lei to usher our precious fur babies to their next lives. Thank you.
