Caring Pathways single-handedly made the passing of my 15 year old rescue dog, Danny, bearable. We had an early evening appointment with Dr. Paola Barajas and it was the most perfect experience I’ve ever had saying goodbye to a loved one. Dr. Paola was more comforting, patient, and kind than we could have ever hoped for. She went at our pace, chatted with us about Danny and his life, and explained the process in as much depth as we required. She also allowed us all the freedom we needed to participate in as much or as little of each stage of the process as we desired. Danny’s passing was extremely smooth and I am convinced he was comfortable with Dr. Paola and the process, and I will forever be thankful for that. I was so anxious leading up to the appointment because I felt I was doing something to Danny, however, because it went so perfectly, after the appointment I actually felt that I did something for Danny, and the relief of that alone was worth the entire cost.
The process of scheduling was also as painless as it could be, and afterward, we received a beautiful hand-written and personalized card from Dr. Paola that means a lot and we will genuinely keep forever (we loved your Ladybug drawing, Dr. Paola!)
