We lost our sweet Percy boy on October 27, 2025. He was 2 1/2 months from his 14th birthday. We adopted Percy when he was 6 months old. He came with some trauma that really made it hard for him to trust, so he put me through quite the ringer for the first 3 1/2 years, but the rough times created an unbreakable bond that was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. He was my soul dog in every way and gave me a reason to wake up every morning during an extremely tough time in my life. Percy taught me what unconditional love was; I could do no wrong in his eyes 🥹 He also taught me understanding and patience. He was truly an amazing dog who changed my husband’s and my life for the better, and losing him has been the hardest thing we’ve ever gone through. As much as it hurts, we also know we were both so lucky to get to experience a love like that. Percy’s brother and sister miss him very much. He was definitely the rock for the Chihuahua we rescued just a few months ago. He taught her safety and security. He was honestly the rock for the whole family, and he made our house feel like a home. He was such a special soul; we’re just thankful to have been his parents.
