My tribute to Slinky will be tough as there are no words. But what I can say is that she was that “one dog”, the one who was an extension of me, who captured my heart and shared my soul. Her sweet disposition allowed us to travel extensively – she was one welcomed creature wherever we went. She channeled my grandmother in her temperament and in her short 11.5 years carried me through significant loss of most of the adult pillars in my life. My heart breaks but I am comforted in knowing she moved off the streets of North Denver as a rescue and into a very loving home whether with me, her first family who found her and her sister Holly, or my extended family. She was a very loved little girl…the rainbow bridge just came too soon.
