We had to put down Little Kitty today. He first came scratching around our apartment door in Grenada in January of 2003. Letting him into our home and our lives was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. I don’t tell too many people this but that first year of marriage was sometimes rocky. There were times when it felt like the love we shared for our little cat was one of the few things we could agree on. While our hearts are breaking now, I’m overcome with profound gratitude for every day we shared with him. Although our daughter Ilakshi was born in August, Little Kitty will always be our first child.
