Lily was a wonderful companion for the 17 years we were together. The two of us went thru a lot of challenges and celebrations together, and thru it all, she was a constant source of comfort and companionship. Absolutely everyone who met her fell instantly in love with her. She was smart, sassy, funny and always had a sunny outlook on life. She enjoyed her life to the fullest and was one of the smartest animals I have ever met. I also don’t think she really considered herself to be a dog, and in a lot of ways she wasn’t. Or at least she was always more than just a dog.
The hardest part for me is moving on and the fact that our paths no longer run together. There will never be another one like her, and there will always be s special place in my heart for her. I hope this posting is a worthwhile memorial to the appreciation I feel for having had Lily in my life.
