Copper

Oct 19, 2021

15 1/2 years ago this amazing cattle dog, Copper, came into our lives after our sons picked him out at The Denver Dumb Friends League. We did not know at that time what an amazing personality we had just brought into our home. His love, his energy, his face licks, his mannerisms, his bark were exactly what a family with 2 growing boys needed. Even our kids friends loved him. He would play games like “around the island’ and fetch until the kids could not run anymore but he always had more energy. As he became older in life, just to have him in our presence, as our kids grew up and moved away, was enough for my husband and I. On 10/14/21 we had to make the hardest decision possible and help Copper cross over the rainbow bridge with the loving help of Caring Pathways and Dr. Schmalz. To see him pass so peacefully, in our own home, instead of a cold hard Animal Hospital was the right choice to make. He will forever be running in our hearts and minds and we will see him again someday.
