Michael Oberman, DVM

Dr. Michael Oberman was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. After spending several years in the corporate world, he chose to pursue his lifelong passion for veterinary medicine. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed his clinical year at Louisiana State University.

Dr. Oberman’s professional interests include soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine, and dentistry. He also has a deep passion for providing at-home end-of-life services, helping pets transition peacefully at home surrounded by the comfort of their family. Dr. Oberman views this as a privilege and is dedicated to offering both compassionate care for the pet and support for the family during this profoundly difficult time. It’s important to him to ensure that every family feels supported, not just in their pet’s final moments, but throughout the entire process.

Outside of the clinic, he enjoys fishing, boating, and golfing. A self-proclaimed foodie, he loves exploring new areas and trying new restaurants. He also has a growing plant collection, with his Variegated Monstera being a favorite. Dr. Oberman shares his home with two rescue dogs, Juneau and Vinny, as well as five snakes.
