We let Louie go on 3/21/25 once he started losing his battle with cancer. It was a hard decision to let our younger boy go, even though it was the right one. He was our little gentleman. He gave hugs, liked to smile, and was always wagging his tail. His big ears won him treats at many drive-thru windows, and he was always willing to share the goods with his big brother.
Unfortunately, just a few weeks after saying goodbye to Louie, Charlie Brown was diagnosed with cancer. We said goodbye to him on 5/5/25, six short weeks after Louie. Charlie Brown was my soul dog. In our 13 years together, he endured so much and remained so loving. We went so many places together before and after we found his brother. People always commented on how soft and how handsome he was. When he was in his wheels, people absolutely gushed.
Louie was the protector, and Charlie was the adventurer. We are so devastated by the loss of both of our beagle boys, and the silence in our home is deafening. But I’m so thankful we were able to say goodbye from the comfort of home.
