Georgia

Oct 13, 2024

My Georgia girl. A true lab, one who loved swimming, chasing toys, sunbathing, dog parks, and car rides. A gentle girl who also really loved to stare at walls and rub her face on her favorite people in the world.

Georgia was that soul-dog, one who filled the room with just her quiet presence, observing and faithfully waiting for treats.
Those years of doing lab things made Georgia’s senior years ones of arthritis and painful stiffness. We waited until she told us she was tired, and she was so ready.

Dr. Anzelmo-Rump has guided two of our dogs home and gently and sweetly did the same for Georgia. I truly feel she is an angel on this earth, one who shows so much compassion, respect, and sheds tears with us every time we see her.
Georgia’s snores echoed across our yard, where she died peacefully under our giant shade tree, her face deep in the green grass she loved.

It’s truly difficult to articulate the magnitude of the loss from our home. My sweet Georgia, I will be dreaming of the day I see you running towards me again.
