I first contacted Caring Pathways after my 13-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix, Jasper, saw significant progression of his kidney disease. Jasper was the first dog I had adopted, and I had no idea how to proceed with weighing his quality of life against the possibility of having to euthanize him. I called Caring Pathways to assist with this process and met with Michelle, who was extremely helpful in explaining Jasper’s options. She was direct and transparent when discussing each outcome, and above all, she gave me peace of mind, knowing I was making the best and most informed decision for Jasper.
When it was time to say goodbye to Jasper, the customer care team wasted no time helping me schedule an appointment for the same day I called. Jasper was very sick at this point and this support was so appreciated.
Dr. Knoll came to our home to help us say goodbye to Jasper. To say my family appreciated Dr. Knoll’s help is an understatement. We are all forever grateful for the service she performed for us and Jasper. Jasper is the sweetest little guy in the world and was really struggling with his illness. Dr. Knoll was so gentle with him and made sure he was comfortable and completely relaxed in his final moments. She also made sure to explain each step to us in detail and gave us peace of mind knowing Jasper was passing without pain and aware he was surrounded by family. It is never easy saying goodbye to someone you love, but I cannot overstate how much better Dr. Knoll made the process. My whole family will always remember the care and love she showed for Jasper from the moment she showed up until the moment Jasper left us.
