| I am so appreciative of the wonderful steps Caring Pathways Team and especially Dr. Tara Poyer did for my 10 1/2 year old companion. Ladybug had oral mouth cancer and went through a lot of radiation treatments and melanoma shots, never once giving up and always a good outlook in life. The team at VCA Highlands Ranch were wonderful in her treatment. When the cancer spread last week to her chest I knew it was time to say good bye. Dr Poyer was so wonderful from the moment she came to the door until she left. Ladybug did not want to give up but Dr. Poyer kept giving her treats and talking to her as she explained to us what she was doing and why. When Ladybug finally laid down it was with a final tail wag. I will be forever grateful for the compassion and understanding that Dr Poyer gave to us in the final stage of life, and the kind words in the card she sent me. My 4 year old grandson said that he wished he could be old and be with Ladybug. |
