Born October 2005, Buttons came to me through one of my students this very week of Thanksgiving 17 years ago. She’s had an amazing life from dog parks to camping and more. Last year she had major surgery but still managed to be certified at 16 as a licensed therapy dog and be on the CATS (canine airport therapy squad) team at DIA. Buttons is the oldest therapist for both. She learned how to press recorded buttons to communicate play, treat, up. The picture with a paw on the chair went viral with 4k 2 years ago. May she run with her sister lab again, Dixie, along the rainbow bridge. May she know when I’ll be coming to greet her and be forever in her presence once again.
