A big heart and a kind and gentle soul. That was Dooley. Although we were blessed with 6 “bonus” years since he lost a leg to bone cancer, it has been devastating to say goodbye. Dooley loved pancakes, peanut butter, making snow angels and swimming at Chase Reservoir. As a Therapy Dog, he never failed to make people smile even in their darkest hours. One family even asked him to join their prayer circle. His finest moments occurred when he met human amputees. Dooley did more for people than many humans ever do. He humbled me. Since all dogs go to heaven, I hope I do too, so I can see Dooley again. Run free, sweet Dooley, run free.
