Every aspect of your pet’s final care and arrangements is of the utmost significance in honoring the life, and the love, you shared. When it comes to these important final details, we are here to walk with you and to assist you in deciding what’s right for you and your beloved pet.
Paw Print Memorial Options
A Caring Pathways veterinarian will provide you with the option to choose a Pawpals® framed print for your beloved companion. The Pawpals® print allows you to personalize your memorial keepsake with a photo of your best friend. Below are a examples of the paw print memorial keepsake. For clay and ink print memorial options, please ask your veterinarian upon their visit.
Note: The charms and embellishments are a great option to personalize the Pawpals® memorial, but are not provided by Caring Pathways.
Pet Cremation Options
During your scheduled euthanasia appointment, our veterinarian will walk you through the cremation options and payment for the crematory services. We work with and trust Pet Cremation Services (PCS) for body care and cremation services. Our team will provide transportation to the cremation location, removing that burden off of your shoulders during this difficult time.
There are three categories of defined cremation services available:
Your pet is cremated as the only pet in the crematorium which allows the return your pet’s ashes.
Your pet is placed with other pets in the crematorium and set apart at an appropriate distance to allow the return of your pet’s ashes. There may be a slight crossover of ashes.
Your pet is placed with a number of other pets. In this case we will not be able to return your pet’s ashes.
If you have any questions regarding these three options, our client relations team is ready to assist you on the phone. Our team is honored with the opportunity to serve you and your pet in this very sad time.
Pet Cemetary Burial
If you are interested in a pet cemetery as a memorial option, here are three options in the Colorado Front Range that we recommend:
Seven Stones Cemetery - (303) 717-7117
Evergreen Pet Cemetery - (303) 674-7777
Precious Memories Pet Cemetery in Fort Collins - (970) 482-7557
We would advise you to contact the pet cemetery you choose several days in advance of your scheduled appointment for euthanasia so that they can be prepared to help you as you choose.
We suggest that you check with your local city or county regarding their regulations and the legality of home burial. We also encourage you to have the burial site prepared and that the site is at least 4 ½-5 feet deep. Our veterinarian will walk you through this during our visit. Having the burial site prepared beforehand allows you to have more time for memorializing and honoring your pet at the time of euthanasia.
Custom Pet Memorial Products
We work with and trust Pet Cremation Services (PCS) to provide you with options for custom memorial products. While our beloved pets will always be in our hearts, each of us have different ways of capturing our memories and honoring our departed companions, from photographs to keepsakes to special pet urns. Your veterinarian will provide you a selection of urns and other custom memorial products through PCS to ensure that your pet is memorialized as you desire. If you need time, you may also choose to order directly through Pet Cremation Services. Visit their website if you wish to order separately through PCS, or for more information on their custom memorial products.
A compassionate way to say goodbye.
